As I go back sort and archive hundreds of drawings I was directed in a dream to depict. I am drawn in by the freedom and spontaneity of my line thru the years.
My intent has always been to keep my hand loose and connected to my inner spirit. I'm looking forward to seeing the total compilation of sketches 2010 -2022 in sequence.....9/3/22 rb

How metaphors in dream elements inform my art practice

What is it you want to do; What are 3 key things (3 max) that you would like to develop in your studio practice through research- this will give you an idea of your topic area.
1.Show how I navigate through my dream life, during and after for understanding by hearing, listening, recording and interpreting the metaphors of dream elements remembered. (expand on personal dream journaling)
- Show the connection between Ancient Hebrew pictograms and metamorphic symbolism of elements I receive in dreams (diagram on canvas)
- practice varying response to metaphors found in dream elemnts thru, abstract painting, sculpture, photography video.

What are the key reasons this you would like to undertake this research (3 max)-
this will give you an idea of your KEY QUESTION/RESEARCH AREA
- I want to show the difference in interpretation, between metaphorical dream analysis and western dream analysis
- I would like to demonstrate or add to the conversation, or show a gap in understanding of 20th century western dream analysis inclusive of surrealist and contemporary dream artist are going in the wrong direction in comparison to metaphoric dream interpretation.
